Weekly Reflection- Fifth Week

The fifth week of teaching practice was for completing peer teaching. I had two pending classes and after citizenship training camp, I conducted peer teaching class on 08.03.2021 and 09.03.2021.

I had to teach two more classes to reach the 15 peer classes count. So I took the chapter, 'The Biology of Movement'. First class was about the Importance of exercise. The concept of Involuntary movement was taught by using the Concept Attainment Model by Jerome S Bruner. It was interesting to teach in a new way. Charts and pictures were used for teaching.

So my peer teaching classes were completed on 9th March 2021.

Though I cannot equate these with the real experience of teaching in the classroom with real students, it was still a good experience to reflect on my weakness and strength as a classroom teacher. It also helped my rectify my mistakes as a teacher and to improve the quality of my teaching.
